Access points should back up each other

Identify that your Wi-Fi provider has designed a system that ensures that areas in your building will be served by more than one access point, so if an access point should go down for any period of time, the network connection will automatically be transferred to a running access point.

Cisco and some other companies also have standy/hot-spare solutions in their products. Sure it costs more because you are buying two access points. However, if you don't have to send a person right away that can be a savings. Pretty much the second AP sits and listens for the 1st one to stop. It then takes over.
