An employee out of Arizona fell 20 feet on a Border Patrol tower in Calixico, California yesterday when the line he was descending on gave out and dropped him. He broke his back, but will survive. Always have a rope grab when descending.

How did he rig the knot? It would be difficult for a rope pad and a double figure 8 to come out. I am interested in how his line was rigged so we all can be aware of what went wrong.
