Is there a charge for this service?
No. And there never will be. We're rewarded daily by knowing we're able to assist in creating a safer workforce.
Where can I use the Jobsite Emergency Action Plan program (JEAP)?
Hospitals, fire, police and sheriffs' departments can be located in all 50 states of the U.S. and the District of Columbia. This information is not available for U.S. Territories and Commonwealths.
I know the address I'm entering is accurate, but JEAP can't find it.
Unfortunately, the internet's three largest mapping providers could not return an accurate match for your entered address. JEAP utilizes Google and Yahoo mapping services simultaneously to search for the address. Microsoft's Bing also uses the same data provider employed by Yahoo.
Sometimes a street name is not recognized because the services only identify it as a numbered county road. The way state highways are listed can also provide incomplete searches.
Double check your address again with your client. A random sampling of over 8,000 tower company sites identified an address error rate of almost 31%.
Why did I get multiple addresses to choose from?
On occasion, Google and Yahoo will differ in the way they present what they believe is a correct match that differs from your address. In reality, it might be the identical address, but check to ensure that it is.
In example, you might have entered Dix, NY, but one mapping service might have identified the community as Watkins Glen, NY. Another might use a data source that views it as the Town of Dix, NY. But if you select either one, you'll find that you're at the same location.
Yahoo's and Google's mapping algorithms oftentimes correct errors that you might have entered, but the JEAP program gives you the option of accepting them. In example, you might have entered Ryan Court, but the returned address is Ryan Lane since the search found that every other entry was correct except for the Court designation.
How does moving the tower on the map enhance my search?
This unique tool is proprietary to our Emergency Services Locator and can easily and quickly assist you in refining your search.
If you've received an incomplete or questionable returned address or latitude and longitude position, and you know where the site location is, click on the appropriate View on Map button. Then zoom in and move the tower icon to the known location.
Once you drop it in place, you'll receive a new address and the corresponding latitude and longitude. Move it as often as you wish until you've refined this information. When you're ready to accept the current address, simply select the Use Address In Emergency Plan button. And then proceed to the Emergency Services Locator to continue filling out your project information.
Searching by latitude and longitude
Oftentimes clients will provide you with the latitude and longitude of the jobsite. Enter them in decimal format, or use our Degrees, Minutes and Seconds Calculator for a quick conversion.
If the provided Lat/Long is accurate you'll be right on top of the tower - if one is already there.
If it is a raw land site, ensure that you have received enough information to identify that this is the correct location and it matches a similar street address provided by your client.
If the Lat/Long provided shows that the tower icon is not near a known location, just move the tower (see above) to the correct location. This will provide a new address and Lat/Long for your jobsite location.
However, identify that the address provided is accurate enough for you to map a route to the nearest acute care hospital.
When you're ready to accept the current address, simply select the Use Address In Emergency Plan button. And then proceed to the Emergency Services Locator to continue filling out your project information.
You can use the sample Lat/Long provided to familiarize yourself with the Lat/Long search capabilities as well as your ability to relocate the tower icon to refine the location.
Why would a client's latitude and longitude not be accurate?
Similar to addresses, a large number of tower company, broadcaster and carrier databases contain errors. Extensive comparisons of thousands of locations have identified some sites being shown up to a mile or more away from the actual location.
In preparing your JEAP, if you notice incorrect information is being provided to you, let your client know.
For towers requiring FCC registration, an incorrect Lat/Long provided by the owner that is at a considerable distance from the actual tower location can result in a fine.
Relying upon provided hospital information
The Emergency Services Locator will provide you with the nearest acute care hospital with an accompanying address and telephone number. Although the country's 4,000-plus hospitals are provided through updated federal hospital databases, it is imperative that you identify the accuracy of the information provided before relying upon it in an emergency.
If you identify that the retrieved information may be in error, contact info@wirelessestimator.com.

Fire Department Information
Our federal database includes over 25,000 departments in the U.S. If your emergency plan relies on firemen for aerial rescue, always check in advance regarding their capabilities!
When using the Emergency Services Locator, a presented fire department may be closer to the jobsite; however, ensure that it is the responding agency and not one from a neighboring community.
Also, in major cities on occasion you may not find all of the sub-stations. Contact the fire department that is provided and identify that they will be the responding station.
If you identify that the retrieved information may be in error, contact info@wirelessestimator.com.

Police and Sheriffs Department Details
There is no national database of law enforcement agencies available to the public. WirelessEstimator.com has compiled one of the nation's most accurate with over 13,000 listings.
For various reasons, identifying local police is a difficult task. Many communities rely upon a nearby city, county or state agency for services. On occasion, we can't provide local police; however, over 95% of all U.S. county sheriffs' departments are covered.
Use the non-emergency phone number to ensure that you have the correct responding agency.
If you identify that the retrieved information may be in error, contact info@wirelessestimator.com.

Why does the map not have a route overlay?
The written directions provided are from the jobsite location to the nearest acute care hospital. Although these directions are the best available, it cannot be known whether they are accurate or if any road construction detours would prevent you from reaching the emergency facility if you relied upon them.
It is advised that once you are at the jobsite that you should verify the route and mark it on the map.
